Seasonal Shift Lead

Overview

Oct 2026 – January 2027 
16-20 hours per week, typically Sunday's and Monday's 

We are seeking a kind and creatively inclined individual to join our team as a Shift Lead. This role is a step beyond a traditional retail sales position – while Shift Leads still spend plenty of time on the floor with customers they also take on a layer of added responsibility and trust. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Shift Lead acts as a point person on the floor during their shifts, helping keep day-to-today operations running smoothly, supporting and setting an example for other team members, and serving as a go-to resource when the Assistant Manager isn’t immediately available. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for creative expression and personal growth.

Availability

Because this role exists specifically to support us through the October–January season, we need someone whose schedule is fairly open across this entire window, specifically, Sundays and Mondays in November and December. 

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact on the floor during scheduled shifts, helping coordinate tasks among team members and stepping in to troubleshoot day-to-day issues, escalating to the Assistant Manager as needed. 

• Provide exceptional service to all customers, creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience.

• Assist customers with product selection, answer questions, and process transactions efficiently.
  

• Help protect and reflect Cousin Home's values and identity in everything from customer interactions to how the store looks and feels — modeling the warmth, care, and attention to detail that the brand is built on, and gently guiding other team members to do the same.

• Help arrange and display products creatively to attract and engage customers.

• Assist with stock replenishment, inventory counts, and organization.

• Accurately and efficiently prepare online orders for shipment, ensuring that each package meets our quality and standards in a timely manner.

• Friendly, approachable, and committed to treating yourself and others well.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a small team.

• Strong work ethic and dependability.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks.

• Able to commit to 16–20 hours a week.

Seasonal Retail Associate

We're seeking a kind and enthusiastic  individual to join our team as a Retail Associate for our upcoming season. This is a seasonal role covering our busiest and most meaningful stretch of the year — from late summer through the holidays and into the new year — and offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for creative expression and personal growth.

Availability

Candidates with availability Oct through Jan will be prioritized, however, if you have partial availability, please apply – we’re always looking for great candidates to weave into our team. 

Key Responsibilities

• Make every customer feel welcome during our busiest and most special season. We're looking for enthusiastic associates who genuinely enjoy helping people find the right gift.

• Guide product selection, answer questions, and process transactions efficiently.

• Arrange and display products creatively to attract and engage customers.

• Pick, pack, and ship with a high attention to detail. Careful, secure packing is essential so fragile items arrive intact. Also includes receiving and processing returns.
